Medium evergreen tree, heavily branched crown, frost hardy. Typical size 8-12 m x 4-6m

Comments:

This species yields a gummy resin (capal) which was used to manufacture varnish. Also used in the traditional method of Mauri tattoo's. The sap being reduced to produce ink.
